KHK SS25 “Stranger”

Stranger:

As a Korean American, I’ve always felt caught between two worlds, never fully belonging to either. When I moved to the US in 2012, I struggled to adapt—from cultural nuances to language barriers. Yet, when I returned to Korea, I was still seen as an outsider, disconnected from the community I thought I belonged to.

This collection is my story—of feeling like a stranger no matter where I go. It’s for those who, like me, have experienced this sense of not fitting in, of being on the outside looking in. I hope my work resonates with anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t belong and shows that you’re not alone in your journey.
